Beatport lists tracks off our first EP in the breaks, drum & bass, and electronica categories—Turbo Charged is a little bit of all of these, yet none of these, which is why we had to make our own genre: “heavy bass.” Drop The Lime drops the sub-aquatic boom-clack grime tune “Big Malice” and the bouncing, scratching neo-bassline clown car of “Come 2 Life”; Math Head gets glam-riff happy with the low-end burble of “Night Moves”; “Instant Response” is one of Starkey’s early industrial dubstep experiments; and even the mysterious character known as Curses! shows up to the party with a terrifying piece of techno-bass full of phantom limbs ripping, messy synths, and emergency room samples. Complete with a legendary cover designed by Math Head, this introduced the world to T&B darkness.
